Vuori's Joe Kudla and Drew Brees are among the bidders in the San Diego Padres' sale process, according to sources. The former and Hall of Fame quarterback are leading one of five groups vying to purchase the MLB team, which is expected to set a new record. The first round of offers was due on Wednesday, and other interested parties include Golden State Warriors owner Joe Lacob and English Premier League club owner José E. Feliciano. The Padres' sale is attracting heightened attention due to the anticipated MLB lockout next offseason. The franchise is valued at $2.31 billion, with the Seidler family seeking a price closer to $3 billion. The MLB record for a sale was set in 2020 when Steve Cohen paid $2.42 billion to buy the New York Mets. The Padres were put on the market in November, two years after the death of Peter Seidler and amid a legal battle among his family members. The sale process is overseen by the investment bank BDT & MSD Partners. The Padres declined to comment, and the other bidders did not immediately respond to requests for comment.
